Senior Brand Strategist and Director - Greenberg Brand Strategy
The members of the Brand Strategy team have all come from the world of advertising and marketing communications. All were trained in the advertising agency discipline of Account Planning, focused exclusively on target audience insight as a leverage point in the crafting of brand identity and brand relevance.
As a Brand Strategist you’ll merge your conceptual thinking and passion for business analytics with your penchant for active listening and keen observation. Brand Strategists are greatly encouraged to cultivate their own analytical approaches.
Additionally, you’ll utilize your successful track record of retaining existing clients and developing new business alongside a premier team with more than 40 years of combined branding experience.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, moderating and interpreting results from qualitative research projects in order to make branding recommendations that go beyond what people expect of "typical" qualitative research. Projects may encompass elements of:
- Developing communication strategies.
- Analyzing or creating brand attributes and brand positioning.
- Consulting on the creation of naming and visual identity.
- Ensuring the successful translation of brand attributes in execution.
- Manage all day-to-day aspects of client relationships.
- Develop client deliverables (written and presentation form), and present analysis and recommendations to client senior management (CMO, Marketing VPs, etc.).
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and closing new business leads.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Five or more years of work experience as a Brand Strategist / Planner with a leading advertising agency or business or brand strategy consulting firm.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion for brand and consumer-facing issues, and sense of curiosity.
- Extremely comfortable with and excited about connecting and building rapport with clients, consumers and peers.
- Ability to cultivate existing and new client relationships resulting in the sale of project work.
- Well-developed research capabilities, superior problem solving skills, and creative thinking.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of clients/projects with minimal oversight.
- 4-year college degree; MBA preferred.
