Greenberg, Inc. Privacy Policy

Our Commitment To Privacy

Greenberg, Inc. (“Greenberg”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We only knowingly collect and process personal information that is voluntarily provided by research participants for market research and strategy purposes.

The Information We Collect

Greenberg may collect a wide range of personal information depending on the nature of the market research and strategy program (“research program”) into which the individual has voluntarily chosen to participate. Only the information necessary for the particular research program is collected and could include name, phone number, email address, mailing address and gender. Additional information, such as ethnicity, income, and other demographic background data helps place participants into the correct research program, but is not required. Individuals voluntarily provide the information at the onset of the research program and may limit the use and disclosure of their personal information by choosing not to participate. Third party sample providers or client partners typically collect the data on Greenberg’s behalf and Third Parties are prohibited from using the data for any other purpose.

Within the scope of our authorization to do so, and in accordance with our commitments under the Privacy Shield, we work with our Third Parties to ensure individuals are appraised of their privacy rights at the time they provide the information.

On some occasions, research participants may provide private information directly to a Greenberg employee, such as during the course of a Focus Group or In Depth Interview (IDI). In these cases, the information is provided voluntarily and consent is given by the research participant at the time the information is collected. Specific additional consent is collected at the onset of the research program if the session is audio or video recorded. Audio recorded sessions are transcribed by a Third Party and transmitted to Greenberg in a secure fashion according to our Client Sample Transferring Guidelines and the Privacy Shield Principals. We do not collect personal information from any person we actually know is an individual under the age of 18 without explicit parental or guardian consent.

The Way We Use Information

"Processing" personal information may include loading data into data analysis software, sending and receiving electronic messages or phone calls relating to the study, and data collection during the market research process. We will not sell, distribute, or otherwise release any personal information we collect to any third party outside of the scope of the particular research program into which individuals have chosen to participate.

Legal Requests

Greenberg may be required to disclose personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.  Greenberg may also have liability in cases of onward transfer to Third Parties.
